I was at Wesley yesterday to have my gall bladder removed. I was in the ER in a hall bed. They were extremely busy and still gave me the greatest care I could ever ask for. All staff, nurses, student aids, surgeons, etc. were amazing!!! The kindness they showed me and my husband…there are no words to express my gratitude. Truly truly wonderful staff!!!! Thank you so much for help❤️

My son was and is( waiting on transport) while in icu his care was excellent. He was transferred to another room. Here is where issues began. They never changed his o2 from the tank used to transfer so his o2 stopped. He is dependent on oxygen. The response of staff was they forgot to hook up. He is on Lasix therefore they are using purwick ( amazing products). The device was not emptied. It was so full that when it was emptied the tank filled halfway up again from urine in line. I have always praised the care Wesley provided on his hospitalized before. I am hoping this was not normal care but rather the floor was busy.

If I could give a negative zero i absolutely would. This has been one of the most traumatizing and frustrating experiences I’ve ever experienced. I have been held here against my will since Sunday afternoon. I have been held down and had IV forced into my feet, arms and hands. I have been yelled at. My personal items confiscated. Been put on a psych hold when I was admitted after a DV case. A unwanted and unneeded EEG and tried forcing a MRI that is unnecessary 4 days after a head a trauma . I have requested administration, ombudsman and the patient advocate to come to my room so I can refuses all treatment (AMA-against medical advice) and have been told that it isn’t possible. I have stated I am terrified and scared for my wellbeing and just want to leave. It’s taken a turn to me literally having to call 911 to get help with removing myself from this building.

I had a great experience with the birth care center! My nurses Paige, Ali, and Alison were fantastic, Dr. Perry did an amazing job with my epidural and Dr. Montgomery is the sweetest OB. I felt heard, safe, and respected through the whole experience. My whole team was very knowledgeable, all of my requests were met and all of my questions were answered. Only complaint is my baby’s 24hr labs were mislabeled and had to be redrawn at our pediatricians office, otherwise 10/10

Wesley Medical Center on Hillside was absolutely the best hospital I have ever been in! I went by ambulance in early morning hours with a severe medical problem. They immediately admitted me after me transferring to them from another location that was closer to us. I was seriously ill and put on the surgical floor at Wesley. Every single person who took great care of me, brought me peace of mind that I was in the absolute best hospital, and they truly cared for me! They did everything to help me get better, but did what they needed to do quickly to assess my condition. Everyone who came in my room, treated me with with much kindness, care, wisdom, and respect. They always put on fresh gloves as soon as they entered the room too. The room was kept very clean too, and I was taken care of extremely well. I saw all three surgeons , and they each spoke to me right beside my bed.
All staff , nurses, doctors, caretakers, custodians were very professional, kind, efficient, friendly, used much wisdom in assisting me , made sure I had my needs taken care of, and were very attentive if i did have to push the nurse button. When you are very sick, having treatment that gives you dignity, respect, best of care and medical expertise like they have at Wesley Medical Center, on Hillside, with all their excellent staff too, makes all the difference for everyone who enters and needs excellent Medical Care. I will always use Wesley Medical Center, in the event that I or my family need immediate Medical care. I am sincerely grateful for each one of you on the surgical floor. God bless each one of you who helped me in any way while I was a patient there. You truly make a difference, bring hope when there is fear or pain, wisdom to bring clarity and understanding, compassion when there is uncertainty.
Sincerely,
Audrey Blanding
