Medical HBOT or wellness HBOT?
The two kinds of clinic on this site are very different. Know which one you need before you call.
Hospital-based & medical clinics
- Hard-shell chambers, usually 2.0 ATA or more, run under a doctor’s supervision
- Used for specific conditions, such as diabetic foot ulcers and late radiation injury
- Medicare Part B and many insurers cover the approved conditions
Wellness centers
- Often mild or soft-shell chambers at about 1.3 ATA
- Usually paid in cash per session, package or membership
- Ask about chamber type, pressure and who supervises the session
