I recently had a major surgery which was new for me. The surgery didn’t go so smoothly and I was very unhappy with the care I received at the hospital and the care that was suggested following the event, namely home health. Then a specialist suggested MK Wound. I had never heard of such a place but I had never needed a place to take care of wounds except what urgent care provides. I was desperate at this point and willing to try just about anything as none of the nurses at the hospital nor home health knew how to properly care for my wounds, one in particular. They just hadn’t been trained.
On my first appointment to MK Wound, I was completely blown away! The professionalism from my initial phone call, them realizing my urgency, and booking my first appointment and seeing me immediately was only the beginning of my journey. Once I arrived, I was greeted ever so kindly, urgently evaluated by professional nurses and a doctor, then treated with the utmost care I could have ever imagined. All orchestrated from the high tech “control center”. My pain and the “mess” I had been left in had finally been addressed properly by trained medical staff. I have since received the care I was seeking and I could not be happier under the circumstances. Even diet for wounds and home care was throughly supported to my basic understanding. A few names that went above and beyond, forgive my spelling and to all of those not listed… Tanya, Aubree, Kaitlyn and Dr Collinsworth - just wow and a special thank you to you all! Nazie, Mary, Emily, Valerie, Kris and Ashlynn - you are all amazing! Michaela, you made me feel so welcome, I saw the “care” in your eyes and of course Dr Justin Gooden, you are so lucky to have them all. Y’all made me feel like family. From the bottom of my heart, so gratefully yours, Thank You! Sean- -

Coming from a lifetime on the farm, I’m used to doing things the hard way and not expecting much beyond that. But my experience at MK Wound has truly been something special. From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed with such kindness that it immediately put me at ease.
The ladies at the front desk were just wonderful—so friendly and helpful, they made me feel right at home from the start. It didn’t feel like walking into a doctor’s office at all. It felt warm, comfortable, and genuine, which is something you don’t come across often.
The nurses are some of the best people I’ve ever met. They’re caring, patient, and take the time to make sure you’re comfortable every step of the way. You can tell they truly love what they do and truly care about helping people heal.
And Dr. Gooden is just incredible. He’s not only a great doctor, but he’s also kind, down-to-earth, and has a wonderful sense of humor. He knows how to make you feel at ease and even get a smile out of you when you need it most.
I feel so lucky to be cared for by this team. I never thought I’d say I look forward to doctor visits, but I truly do now. They go above and beyond to treat you, help you heal, and make you feel like you matter.
MK Wound is unlike anywhere I’ve ever been, and I’m so thankful to call it my doctor’s office. -

I was introduced to MK Wound Care when my Mom's Doctor recommended them after she had a fall and tore open the skin on her shin. The entire group is fantastic! From the person who checks you in to Dr. Waswick, Maxi, Ashley, Kris, Laurie and so many others. I was concerned that she might need a skin graft or artificial skin, but with their great care, her shin healed on its own. I was very amazed and impressed with her progress. After about two months, she got to ring the bell signifying she was all done. It is a nice touch they do and everyone celebrates another success. I let her regular Doctor and staff know about our great experience and they were thrilled to know so they can recommend MK Wound Care to other patients. I definitely recommend them and they deserve 10 stars!

My experience with MK has been nothing but remarkable. The staff from the front desk, nurses and providers have been wonderful to me. They show kindness and a smile when I walk in and do a good job of explaining everything to me. They have gone out of their way on multiple occasions to take care of me. I highly recommend them and Dr Gooden has become more than just a Dr to me.

I can't say enough about the incredible place. From the moment I walked in, the front desk, nurses and doctors made me feel welcome and cared for. Dr. Gooden has truly built an amazing team.
Every visit was something I genuinely looked forward to. The level of compassion and the specialized care provided here is exceptional. I had my wound for years and had several other wound clinics here in Wichita and they misdiagnosed me. Dr Gooden knew what it was right away. While I was thrilled to see my health improve, I was also a bit sad to leave such a wonderful environment. Thank you to everyone for making my time here so special!
