I was transferred here to the trauma center from another hospital. They went to work very quickly and all of the people there were extremely comforting and did their best at understanding the situation youre in. Once I was admitted for surgery, the same situation, super caring and kind. The only reason its 4 stars is because I was guaranteed transportation back home after I was transported here via ambulance and they said they had no transportation until Tuesday. The charge nurse gave me attitude when I said that made no sense. You guys transported me here, I dont have a car, so naturally this should've been set up and taken care of for the last 14 hours I was there for, but it all worked out thanks to my friend. But regardless, this is something they should work on for the future.

Our experience at MedStar Burn Center has been excellent. From the moment we arrived through the Emergency Department, to inpatient admission, surgery and now follow-up we have received nothing but stellar, attentive and thorough care. Every person we met with from surgeon to food delivery staff was friendly, helpful and patient. We always felt that we had their full attention and care. I have been singing their praises to everyone I have shared our story with. I will add that we had similar positive interactions with every Washington Hospital Center employee we encountered.

I appreciate the care I received at the burn center. I was still uneasy from my burn while healing. However the staff made me feel comfortable with the rest of my healing process and the information I received to move forward with my care. Thank you so much.

Perfection needs to work very hard to reach the wonderful level at the burn center. Everything was wonderful. I don’t believe there could be a place better, across the board. I was wonderfully well treated.

Giving the center a 3 because the waiting time was awful. They tell you to come a half hour early. After walking a mile and getting there a half hour early, I still waited over a hour before I was called. My appointment was at 2. They called someone that had an appointment for 2:30. He was sitting in waiting room when I got there, but ??? The staff was great. But I am so happy I used a walker to help me walk with my burn foot, I would never have made it. That is what needs to be told to the patients become coming there in case they have problems with walking.
