I really felt care was given for a test referred to as a TEE.
When I arrived I was greeted. After sign in I was taken to my room to be prepped. The nurse explained what I could wear and what was to be removed. I had my sister-in-law with me and she was assisting me as well as the nurse to get into the bed. The nurse explained what was going to be done and the introduced the anesthesiologist. I talked with him about my problems with anesthesia and he said he would definitely take more care. I was taken to the room for the procedure and he gave me the medication. The next thing I remember is waking up. I talked to the nurse and she went over the eat and drink schedule. I was very hungry and thirsty and she got me something soft to eat. No problems at all . I really enjoyed the nurses and all of the staff that completed this as I call it “the EVENT”. The doctor came in to tell me about the info that he got and said it would be given to the cardiologist. The doctor was very nice also!
OK, the food was not gourmet but I was hungry and ate it. There wasn’t a vanilla milk shake but… The best thing was there was no problem in my throat with swallowing. Most of the conversations were with the nurse Jeri. She was friendly , professional and could take some of my jokes.i always talk a lot especially when i am in a strange situation. I have numerous questions for all of the staff and they answered . They probably were glad when I left!
It was a good and short stay in the hospital, the kind I prefer. -

Was very impressed with my entire visit for my catheterization procedure.Everyone from the valet to the surgeon were fantastic! The nurses , did everything to make me feel very comfortable during the entire process and were very professional. The operating room anesthesiaologist ,& nurses helped ease the stress I felt beforehand, and during the procedure. And Dr.McCauley was so personable and understanding, and spent time with my wife and I beforehand explaining the procedure, and after the procedure to explain the results in layman’s terms and answer all our questions. Was terrified before the visit and at ease afterwards.Three days prior I had a similar experience with a related procedure at the same heart center.

Had an appt. with Dr. Debra Zimmerman. This appt. went well with all personel caring for me very professionally. My one complaint was the lack of valet parking, which I assume has been discontinued. I am handicapped and use a rollator walker. While I did find a handicap spot, it was on the lower level and I had to walk up and down the steep driveway. When entering there were two elderly patients that also had to walk up the driveway with canes. This would not have been necessary with valet parking. Please reconsider and reinstate this amenity for your elderly and handicapped patients.

This was my second time receiving a test at Reading Hospital. This time, I was there for an echocardiogram. The receptionists at the entrance and upper floor were welcoming and quickly directed me. Haley did the echocardiogram and was professional and caring. She explained everything as she did the procedure, and asked a nurse, Tiffany, to assist with the contrast. I was very pleased with my experience, and received my test results that day. My doctor also received the results and that afternoon scheduled me for a cardiologist visit. Thank you and may God bless you all in the way He knows best.
