  • Hello my name is Marsha and I would like to write a review about my experiences with this hospital and including the staff. I have had surgeries at the hospital and I have to say during my stay no matter what doctor or nurses or lab team or X-rays they all was wonderful and I made sure to compliment each and every one of them. However I have been to this hospital many times not just for myself but being their with close family members and I want to point out a few things that could definitely be worked on for the better. My daughter is pregnant and she had to be seen in the delivery maternity ward and she had to wait outside the doors and have staff come get her. That is fine except we all noticed their was nowhere to sit down other than the floor and that definitely needs to be fixed. A pregnant woman and family need a place to sit while waiting on the staff to open the doors to get the patient in that area. Number 2 they need to do better training in drawing blood and administering a IV that has always been a issue with not just myself but family as well. To many sticks and swelling. Number 3 when a family member has been sent to the ER via ambulance and doesn't have their cell phone on them family should be able to talk to their loved one in the ER and I noticed and was told they have no phones in the ER rooms. I was told I could talk to my husband if he can walk to the desk...that needs to be fixed. 4th thing when patient is admitted to the hospital their loved one who stays by them should not have to worry about having to leave to get a bite to eat especially in emergency situations. I believe the hospital should send a plate to their patient and to the loved one who stays with them. Some people live paycheck to paycheck already and don't have extra $$ to buy food while their with their loved one staying the night. They already have enough worry and stress about what's going on.

  • Beware of Riverside Interventional Radiology and the entire Ohio health system as a whole. —My wife had her G-tube replaced yesterday and they did not inflate the cuff to hold it in place. The easiest part of the entire procedure. Well it fell out. Now an open hole from her stomach just leaking stomach acid everywhere. Good luck contacting anyone. We get to drive an hour to their ER and hope someone pretending to give a crap actually realizes what happened and grabs IR before they leave the building. These Doctors are making more $$ than anyone and for what. Complete joke of a system they have in place. I work in the medical system and have zero patients for incompetence. And this is a complete lack of accountability and incompetence at the highest level. A leak would have been discovered during cross check And I can only assume there was nothing in place to do a final assessment. We got told the hospital with plenty of time for them to correct their error. Instead they essentially stuck a straw in the hole with nothing to secure it and said we will get to you sometime tomorrow as the hole continues to close. . Of course now we are trapped in the Ohio Health system since they did the procedure and apparently surgeons from other systems are not confident in there skills to fix someone else’s mess. Patients beware. A big fancy facility does not equal good care. It proves they are nothing more than a scam system created to give hope yet provide just enough care that u have to return in a week. The more I learn about the procedure the more I learn they did not follow other protocols like administration of IV antibiotics. Now she is at a huge risk for infection all night long while IR surgeons rest easy in their beds. Complete lack of competence. forbid someone asks for pain meds as stomach acid leaks out cuz god knows floor nurses can’t do anything without permission from the all knowing all mighty Doctors who leave nice and early and retreat to their dungeons not to be bothered. Anyway, I’m sure will fall on blind eyes who are only in this business for a check as that seems to be status quo.

  • I have had 3 surgeries and one twin Birth at Riverside. Everytime I've been here its been a wonderful experience. I feel heard and listened to by the nurses, doctors and surgeons. They work with you and care about your concerns. I was in pain and described how I was feeling and although my vitals were good they still listened they did more testing and found the root cause of my pain and saved my life more than once. I've been to other hospitals like OSU, Marion General and Mary Rutan hospital here in Ohio. Everytime I go to another hospital I feel unheard and brushed off. Riverside really goes above and beyond. They truly care gor their patients. The nurses, doctors and surgeons at Riverside are top tier medical professionals. I feel confident in their decisions because they prove time and time again they know what they are talking about. Other hospitals I felt like I knew more than the staff. I want medical professionals I can trust and you will ONLY find that at Riverside. I am a TOP reviewer on Google so take it from me. The best hospital in Ohio is Riverside PERIOD......

  • Riverside has always been a good choice for my family and I. I don’t have complaints medically. However, the family room in the ICU unit in the blue building 5th floor can sure use some work. So uncomfortable. There are no cups. Nothing for tea or coffee though the machines are here. This is the hardest most uncomfortable furniture I’ve ever experienced. This is a waiting room where family members will be for long periods of time at the worst moments of their lives sometimes. Please make it more comfortable and inviting for your patients family members. I saw another family go out and buy blankets for the room. Add a phone charging station or more plugs.

  • I've been here since august the 14th , and only 2 nights out of 4 have they not keep me comfortable. I had my surgery, a major neck surgery front and back by my new Hero Dr. Buster. I cant say enough about the 5 star care I have and am getting. Im on the 9th floor , Nurse Brittany has taken care of during the day this and wow she's awesome. PT are also in my 5 star range , but I don't want to leave out my PSAs . They also went above and beyond I think what there job call for. Plus they know how to make you smile at your worst , thats for sure. I cant leave out one of my night shift nurses, Nurse laura , because
