  • Stacy at Registration was very helpful & kind! I learned when I checked in at Registration for my lab visit that I had an issue with my diagnostic request form sent between QTC & the scheduling department. It was missing information. Stacy without hesitation overextended her efforts to try to help me out. She called the scheduling department to see what was missing on the form so that she can get me registered. Unfortunately, it was too confusing for us to figure out on our own so she determined it was best that I just call the source, so I ended up calling QTC again. She was right! They had the form corrected, resent to scheduling & I was able to be seen. I didn’t realize until afterwards that Stacy was really going above & beyond trying to help me, even though the actions were not within her department. She was amazing & I truly appreciate her one of a kind customer service!

  • I never use this hospital for the same reason. I was mistreated and I did not receive the respect I deserved. 1. I'm in the last stage of kidney and liver failure. 2. While I was sent due to the other hospital being full, I was treated like I was there for narcotics. 3. I had not been there for over 10 years and the nurse gave me attitude and said, " You were just in here the other day. I guess we can see what they say this time. What is it now?" I corrected her and she did know what to say. 3. While in the lobby, a Caucasian female went to the front desk and spoke loudly and rudely said,"We have been here for 20 minutes. We have insurance and pay our bills. We better be next. Unlike others, we work." And she was immediately taken back. When we were told it was a wait and considering my current health issues I would be a priority. Never again. Next time I need ambulance transport to ER, I'll stay home. I'd rather die than go to this place.

  • I am writing to formally report a concerning experience my sister had during her visit on Friday night. She encountered significant issues with both responsiveness and patient care that warrant attention.
First, there was a lack of timely response to call lights. Over the course of approximately one hour, the call button was pressed around 15 times, yet no staff member came to check on her during that period. This delay in response caused considerable distress.
Second, there was an issue involving consent and clinical practice. Her assigned nurse, Jayden, was accompanied by a student. While my sister was comfortable with the student observing, she clearly declined having the student perform her IV insertion. Despite this, Jayden instructed her to “lay back and give me your arm,” stating that the student would proceed with the IV. This occurred after my sister had already refused consent for the student to perform the procedure.

After attempting to refuse a second time, she ultimately felt pressured and allowed the student to proceed with the IV insertion. The student was unsuccessful, and Jayden then had to complete the procedure himself—an outcome she had initially requested. Following the incident, she experienced significant bruising on her arm the next day, which raised further concerns about the technique and overall quality of care provided. I work in an ER, and if you do IV’s correctly they leave little to no bruising at all.

This interaction raises serious concerns about patient autonomy, communication, and adherence to consent protocols. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed to ensure appropriate standards of care and patient rights are consistently upheld.

  • A very well run medical facility. From the initial reception all the way through recovery, the staff were very attentive and caring. They explained things in plain language and made sure everything was understood. Both I and my wife have had recent procedures here, and my kids have had some in the past as well. It is my preferred medical facility in Bismarck. Plenty of parking all around the facility including handicap parking very close to entrances.

  • Horrible from the time I got there until the time I left. Took over 2 hours to get seen, even with witnessing all 5 patients before me go in and come back out. Make that make sense…
The nurse stated that I “demanded” dilated when I simply told her that was one of the only medications that has been helping my pain, and I just wanted even a hour of relief with how miserable I was. Her notes from the visit were incorrect and I feel bad for snapping at the Dr at the end, but she was extremely unprofessional and rude from the very start. I stated I needed to leave by a certain time so I would have a ride home, when I did press my call light it took at least 15 minutes for anyone to come and then they make you feel like a burden for needing or asking something. Pretty sure I won’t be back. Nothing against the Dr, he seemed great, same with the nurse that takes your initial vitals after checking in.
Even the front receptionist acted like checking someone in was the biggest inconvenience in the world. There was another younger male nurse who was also extremely friendly and helpful.
I was very friendly for the first 3 hours and then with the nurses attitude I snapped and left in horrible pain. I was down to try anything, but not stuff that 1 I had already taken that day and it did nothing and 2 stuff that previously had not helped the same issue. I have nerve damage and abdominal wall damage which causes horrible pain especially during a IBS flare up, and I was trying to explain that I just needed the pain to go away even for a little while. I was not asking for pain meds to bring home, I even said I did not want to be prescribed any kind of narcotic or drugs, as with my job and being a mother I don’t like to alter my mental status at home or work

So thanks but no thanks. And I will give my honest opinion whenever asked about chi emergency department. I will stick with Sanford. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
