  • I was admitted for a knee injury and quickly processed and set up in an exam room although it was first thing in the morning and the full staff wasn't in yet. This hospital is fairly but so easy to get to, with plenty of parking and helpful signage. My husband's been treated here as well and has been very satisfied with the care.

  • I had been scheduled for an outpatient test. I received numerous calls, emails and texts to confirm my appointment. When I tried confirming via email, I repeatedly got an, oops! Something went wrong, try again later. Then, I responded to a call, answered all the questions, got pre-registration done and thought that would be all I needed. Several days later, received a text message, asking to confirm my appointment by typing Yes, No or Stop. I typed Yes and sent, believing that is the second confirmation! On the morning of the scheduled appt., I get a phone call asking if I planned on keeping my scheduled appt. today! I stated I was, and that I confirmed with a person who called, confirmed with a text message Yes the day before, and now with your call! She replied, oh we never get confirmations sent to us!! What a waste of time and resources on a system that seems flawed, or, no one has brought the problem to the attention of someone who should be in the know and fix the glitches!
When I got to the appointment, there was a sign just outside the elevator with instructions to go to the Radiology Dept. on the 3rd floor to register for my test. When I got back to the 2nd floor and handed my registration papers to the secretary, she said that was not needed. I told her about the sign at the elevator. She left, and upon return commented, You are the only one today who read it! It was placed there the day before in her absence! I hope these issues can be resolved for future patients. It certainly make you wonder if anyone really knows what's going on. St. Joseph Hospital has a long standing record of excellence. This comment certainly does not need to be posted after review, but I couldn't find anyplace else to voice my concerns.
And, the Employee who did my testing, did a fabulous job! I purposely did not tell her I am a Retired Respiratory Therapist. Her knowledge, instructions and kindness certainly reflect the St. Joseph Hosp. I knew.

  • I had back surgery here and everyone was so amazing! Dr. Lyerly is a gifted surgeon who cares about his patients. His staff is wonderful! I highly recommend him!
I had to go to the emergency room this week and I would love to thank Lena my PA, Matthew my RN, and Tony my MRI technician! They were so amazing and kind! Iam so grateful to have these wonderful people taking care of me! Thank you Dr. Lyerly for making sure that I got an MRI on my back! Bless you all! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • The hospital was mostly empty but somehow it took forever to get back. Most of the nurses were alright and very nice. Nurse assigned to me? Not so much. He insisted the IV was correct even when I told him it hurt. He acted very impatient with me like I was causing him problems. He also was rude and demanded i stand when I couldn't

Other nurses and the DR was nice though. Just took forever
