Extraordinary Wound Care! Incurred a severe laceration to my right arm above the elbow and Marco the appointment coordinator squeezed me in a couple days before Thanksgiving although they were very busy. Upon arrival MA Kiley met me an instantly I was confident my wound struggling with infection and immune issues would be safe. Her Confident yet soft and kind demeanor, her medical and wound care expertise and total positive caring skills were evident. She treated me extensively evaluating the wound, directing a course of action utilizing state of the art technology and the amazing power of microbial and healing techniques, which she implemented! Her prompt decisive and excellent treatment turned a frightening situation into one heading swiftly towards a positive resolution. Dr. Tyler Sexton appeared overseeing all matters utilizing his 25 years of Wound Care expertise ensuring all was on the right track and charting the course ensuring a successful outcome!! Returning a week later and again receiving, Superb, top shelf- amazing care from the aforementioned Doctor and MA I am well on the way to recovery. Thank you to the amazing Wound Care team at Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center.

I was referred to Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center for wound care after a foot surgery left two of my toes with large and deep open wounds. I’ve never ever experienced any such open wounds that would require wound care treatments. When I arrived for my consult, not knowing what to expect, I was very anxious and emotional as to how my toes would ever heal, how long would it take, and would I endure additional pain. From the first consult with the wound care nurses, they immediately put me at ease with their reassurance, their utmost compassion during the initial exam and dressing my wounds was heartfelt. Each of the nurses were knowledgeable in how to treat my wound care with a cleansing, medical supply applications, and the final dressings. They asked if I was experiencing any discomfort or pain during the wound care dressing changes, and if so, managed to avoid it. I then met Dr. Tyler Sexton, Medical Director for BRHC, he was so enthusiastic, personable, caring, and fully confident that their treatment plan tailored for me would heal my toes within a few months. He outlined my care plan which included multiple Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments, using wound care medical supplies that they had experienced success with, and having biweekly wound care with dressing changes. They arranged for Home Health Care to change the dressings once a week, the other change was to be at there on one of the days of my HBOT visits. I then proceeded to be introduced to the fantastic group of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment staff (HBOT), all of whom walked me through step by step of how and where the Oxygen Treatments would be conducted and what to expect. They made each and every day of my oxygen treatment go by so smoothly, always with a smile, reassurance, or a friendly chat to see how I was doing. They were always there to answer any questions or concerns I may have had. Just as Dr. Sexton and the wound care Nurses said in my initial visit, following their treatment care plan with the HBOT treatments, and the recommended medical supplies with dressings, the wounds on both of my toes healed within a few months. Everyone was always accommodating to any and all questions, scheduling changes or concerns I may have had. Without a doubt, all the staff from the front desk, wound care nurses, HBOT staff and Dr. Sexton had one concern which was to ensure that I and their patients were comfortable and well taken care of. My toes have healed, and I am forever grateful that my Podiatrist recommended that I continue my wound care healing at Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center.

I was initially very impressed with this doctor's office. The doctor himself has an impressive background, is clearly well-educated in his field, and comes across as a genuinely kind and knowledgeable person. The facility is also quite impressive—the oxygen vessel, the setup including test dive, and the neuro catch stood out during the initial tour. I left that first visit hopeful, even though I was told there were no immediate openings and they’d be in touch. Two weeks later, I got a call requesting a chest X-ray before moving forward. I asked for a simple email with instructions on where to go and the necessary script—nothing complicated. But from there, the communication just broke down. A week passed with no response. Then, out of the blue, they called again saying they were ready to bring me in the very next day, and casually mentioned I still needed that chest X-ray. Again, I asked for the info to be sent via email—and again, nothing. At that point, I decided to move on. It’s unfortunate, because this place has a lot of potential and seems to be doing some cutting-edge work. But good communication is key, and unfortunately, that part was seriously lacking.

I cant even express how much I'm greatful for this office and the people in it. So friendly, so precise. My brother is very paranoid about his wound on his foot, as he has hat it for 13 years. He dosent trust anyone with it. But they quickly gained and earned his trust. The results are mind blowing. My favorite drs office I've been to in my 35 years.

In 2017 I brought my elderly mother to Dr. Buza for follow-up wound care after two other physicians refused to numb the site when they worked on it. Deb and Dr. Buza were so kind and patient with her. They used a topical cream for numbing and she had no problems. It was especially important because Mom was starting to not want to go to doctor appointments, which was hard for both of us. I highly recommend this practice and I’m still so very grateful.
