Holistic Hyperbarics

I am officially a convert! Holistic Hyperbarics is a truly special place that beautifully turns a medical treatment into a spa-like experience. As a plus-size woman, I was worried that the scrubs they provide might be too tight and that I wouldn’t even fit comfortably in the chambers. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely supported and comfortable. They truly have scrubs in every size imaginable, and the chambers themselves were surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. The staff was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive, making me feel safe and at ease throughout the entire process. Time under pressure was easy and relaxing—the chambers are equipped with Netflix, and they also offer lemon water and snacks, which made the experience feel calm, chill, and even enjoyable. This is the first review I’ve ever written, and I’m writing it because this place genuinely exceeded my expectations. I truly believe everyone should know about and experience Holistic Hyperbarics for themselves.

I'll skip ahead to the end of the story and say that I felt like a super hero the next day. Although, the beginning of the session was intense for me. I'm told that I'm one of the anomalies, one in ten, that can have a hard time with the intensity of the pressure when going for a "dive" (think deep sea diving and the pressure associated with greater depths). Something that I love about this place is that they have a protocol for that! This place has a protocol or backup supply for everything! Manuel, my caregiver for the dive, told me every sort of just in case..., don't worry if you..., and do you need another pillow/blanket..., spiel there was to be told. I felt effusively cared for and reassured that there were safety measures for the safety measures with backup plans for the first set of contingency plans. Once I got past the initial pressure change, I just read my book, slept, read my book, and then slept some more. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to sleep that night after all of the naps in the chamber. When I got home, I slept better than I have in the last 10 years! (Manuel mentioned this may happen!) The next morning, I went in to the gym to lift. Not only did I hit a PR on my Deadlift, I still had more in the tank after the final rep! For the rest of the week - my appointment was on a Sunday - I moved better, slept better, ran faster, and lifted with more power

I loved my time at Holistic Hyperbarics. I was struck by the level of care and attention I received from the staff. The dive itself was wonderful and cozy. I felt deeply invigorated and rejuvenated as a result. After you finish you go to a decompression room with fruit water, face towels, soothing music and comfy chairs. Best of all, the treatment seriously reduced level of pain I commonly experience on a daily basis. A few days later I still feel great and ten years younger.

Alex and the entire team at Holistic Hyperbarics are excellent! You will be incredibly well taken care of at HH. The team genuinely cares and is expertly trained to make sure you are getting the treatment that you need. The experience is wonderful and the health benefits are genuinely amazing.

I loved Holistic Hyperbarics! The staff was wonderful. The place is beautiful and the mission of the whole place is superb; bringing health to people who can't always (sometimes ever) access it. I used the red-light table and at first, lying there, I was thinking that with my sciatica I could never just lie there but then promptly forgot about it because the pain disappeared and I felt just great afterwards. There are a lot of therapies that they offer beyond Hyperbarics itself and I think this is one of the best run, cleanest, most thoughtful and customer care oriented places in the East Bay, maybe the whole Bay Area. I recommend it as highly as possible!!!
