Aurora Healthcare is a greedy, unprofessional organization whose CEO, Mr. Skogsbergh is the fifth highest paid health care CEO in the nation. $11M a year!!!! I received an out of network referral for a consultation for hyperbaric treatment to see if this would help my suspected radiation fibrosis. The doctor was excellent! Their billing department is a confused, greedy mess! After receiving $644 compensation through my insurance for a 45 minute consultation, Aurora billed me personally for another $280, under a nearly identical CPT code. I submitted a complaint to DATCP. Then, I received a call from one of their representatives. She said "I'm supposed to call you about your letter." She knew nothing of my claim and stated that my insurance never even paid the $644 consultation fee. I pulled out my explanation of benefits and told her the date my insurancte paid the bill. What a crazy, greedy mess!

Have been to AMCO Hyperbaric and wound care many times in last 3 years. Staff is all great, professional and friendly. Nurses and Techs were sensitive to my pain and closely followed my results. In particular Alice H. watched over my care and would check on me even when I saw a different staff member. She brought encouragement and first class care, and would laugh at my dumb jokes.
