Today, I visited this wound care facility for my foot injury. I can’t express how grateful I am to the receptionist, nurse, and doctor. I had called the facility yesterday, and the earliest appointment I received was two weeks away. So, I booked the slot just in case. The receptionist Ang informed me that she would text all the Inova centers in different locations to get the latest appointment. Fortunately, she managed to secure me a spot today at the Fairfax location. The nurse Meredith who attended to me had a great sense of humor and spoke so kindly throughout the entire process. It’s incredibly important when you’re in excruciating pain. They didn’t underestimate my pain and promptly increased the local anesthesia strength to a stronger 4% to alleviate the discomfort. The doctor who performed the surgery was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. I am truly grateful for these heroes in our lives who go above and beyond to help others.

We had a great experience here with my (almost) 5 year old. The front desk ladies were both so kind and friendly and smiling! Felt very welcomed and not like we were a bother at all. They offered coloring books and crayons to my kids while we waited. The nurses were so so amazing. We really appreciated them. They were very accommodating and made it a great experience. Both of my kids had fun and the nurse was so kind telling them jokes, chatting with them to pass the time, etc. They made my daughter very comfortable and explained everything to her. They even prepped her for what to expect when the doc came in. Dr. Desman was kind and reassuring. It was such a positive experience for all of us and we appreciate all their hard work! They also made it very easy for us to call back and ask questions which is such a huge plus when you’re unsure if you will be able to get ahold of your provider in-between appointments. Thank you all!!

The care here is incredible. They are non-judgemental, open to accommodating needs/disability, actually listen, and try to come up with solutions. They are not just walking through the motions to get through the day; they genuinely want patients to get better and live their best lives. They will also thoroughly educate caregivers - demonstrating at-home care one-on-one without rushing through and they take the time to answer questions. Plus, they actually answer the phone rather than sending calls to voicemail or having a cumbersome menu system. I am no stranger to medical care, unfortunately, and yet I cannot think of a center I would recommend more.

So I have taken my mom to the Fairfax location Three times now and I only have wonderful things to say about them. The wait time is not long, they have accommodated every time we needed an appointment, the two nurses that have helped my mom have been nothing but kind and seem to know what they’re doing. The doctor that we have seen twice is also very knowledgeable and patient and is willing to take the time to explain everything. The location is a little bit of a pain but I am not so thrilled about the Whole Gallows Rd., Fairfax Hospital area so that can’t be helped. It is easy to park and get into the building though and I appreciate this with my mom who can barely walk anymore. They all wear a mask and follow Covid protocols and they make it as easy as they can on the patients, for instance, not signing forms anymore and things like that. And my mother is not really an easy lady to please and she seems very happy with their care so that is great.
