I've been a patient of Dr. Barr's for the better part of a year. I had some very slow healing wounds. He always took great care of my wounds and gave detailed instructions for additional wound care until my next appointment. The staff is always cheerful, friendly, and professional. Most of all they were all very knowledgeable. We've had our ups and downs, though no fault of Dr. Barr's, but I could always trust what he said, even if I felt discouraged. He was always right and my wounds have now healed thanks to him and his wonderful staff. If I could rate Dr. Barr and his staff with higher than a 5 star review, I would, and it would be well deserved.

I was sent to Mercy Wound Care when my old surgical scar on my ankle opened up again, due to swelling. This is the third wound care facility I've been a patient at, and by far, this one was the best. Dr. Barr was always very kind and helpful. He never gave up, and continued to try many different things in order to get my stubborn wound to heal. Dr. Barr was very patient, and always willing to answer my questions and explain things to me. His staff was wonderful! The nurses truly cared about me and treated me as a friend, not just a patient. I would definitely recommend Mercy Wound Care to anyone needing this type of care!

I made an appointment with this clinic to get help with a slow healing wound on my leg. At no time was I informed that this was an out patient clinic. I was not informed of the type of treatment I would have or of the charges for this treatment. After 2 appointments my wound was worse than when I started and I could barely walk. I cancelled the next appointment and went back to my dermatologist, Dr. Rougas for follow up. When I was billed for Dr. Barr, the charges seemed very high and I saw that I was billed for out patient care. Most of my medical needs are provided at Mercy. I feel that Dr. Barr’s clinic was less than satisfactory and over priced! John

I have an appt this week for a wound that won't heal.these reviews worry me. If I Will be charged for outpatient services the cost will be considerably more. I appreciate the warning and am looking at another clinic on bcbs network.
