The staff at Hyperbaric NC are amazing. I took my son to receive treatment for a concussion and everyone was professional, kind, and informative. Scheduling was a breeze and the process itself was easy and comfortable. I did a lot of research on hyperbaric therapy after brain injury and felt like it was a worthwhile investment. The staff walked my son and I through everything and made him comfortable the whole time. His concussion symptoms started to improve after two treatments and were resolved by 5. It is obvious that the staff believes in this therapy and has done their research, individualizing the treatment plan specifically for TBIs and my son. Brain injuries are frightening and debilitating, even if just for a short period of time, but I felt immense comfort in hyperbaric therapy and the team at Hyperbaric NC being able to expedite healing for my son so he could get back to his normal life.

Now this hyperbaric chamber was absolutely a game changer for us. First my husband is 360lbs, 6’4, former pro athlete with diabetes. My husband fit in the machine without an issue. The staff was amazing, kind, knowledgeable and educated us on what the hyperbaric chamber does and how it heals. Getting in the chamber was easy for my husband and it wasn’t tight at all. My husband was situated and ready to start in a matter of minutes. After my husband was done he said that he felt energized and well rested in one hour in the chamber, and he didn’t go to sleep. He went in at 287 glucose reading and he came out 254 glucose reading within one hour. I was floored. One hour in a hyperbaric chamber helped my husband’s healing, blood sugar and energy. As the day went on my husband had an increase in digestion. He said it felt like a gentle detox. He said he hasn’t felt that good in a long time. My son is a current D1 player and has an appt next week. My husband and will be back in the chamber soon. And when my son gets home from deployment he will also be in for an appt. I can’t say enough for Dr. Kurtz and his staff.

My husband was treated by Hyperbaric NC PLLC for memory loss most likely caused by long COVID. He had 10 treatments (dives). The team at Hyperbaric NC were terrific - professional, kind and accommodating. Their equipment is hospital grade and the team is informed on current medical research in the field of hyperbaric medicine. We are planning to return in a month or so, because their efforts have had positive effects.
