I saw Dr German here. He was rude, condescending, and acted like he could care less. I went for an open wound of 7 months and he looked at it, did not touch me or the wound and decided instead of trying to do something with wound to start with we’ll have you considered loosing some weight? I have stage 4 lymphedema/state 1 elephantitis. I gained weight because of this debilitating condition. Well you need to go to lymphedema care. Ok, that is not a doctors office, that is physical therapy and I have done therapy. Well they can teach you about lymphatic massage and wraps. You know I have had this for 8 years. I have seen doctors, done therapy, have done compression, have done elevating, everything I was supposed to do. I’m here for an open wound, not to be treated like a stupid or uneducated child. Well I’m sure you keep kicking your leg to cause the wound. No sir, it was just weeping and got bigger and bigger and became a sore cause in 7 months it won’t stop weeping. Well you prob don’t know your hitting it. My left calve is over 40” around and bumping into anything hurts. I know if I hit my leg or not. Well maybe getting into bed. Do you have trouble getting into bed. No I do not. Well do you eat salt? No I’m not a salt person. Well you have no idea how much salt is in fast food, pizza, and blah blah blah. Look I said I’m not into salt or salty food and I am intelligent enough to know how to read a food label for the sodium and portion size it lists. Assuming cause I’m a big guy all I eat is junk food and fast food. I was insulted, uncomfortable, treated like I was stupid, and felt like I was being made fun of for something that is incurable. He was even so smart as to tell me I would never want surgery and described the procedure where they remove the skin and duck out the fatty tissue. Vol I’m smart enough to know that is lypodema which is fat masses, not lymphedema which is swelling due to fluid retention. And after 2 hours in this place my wound was wiped with an antiseptic wipe And got a big bandage which only stuck to my leg a couple hours. Nurse Carla was sweet but the dr’s nurse and doctor were useless. Oh and Dr informed me this was a double billing office. One bill for the center and separate for the Dr. so I scheduled an appt with the clinics Dr and have to be charged twice? People, avoid this place. Br far out if the dozens of medical offices I have been to the absolute worst experience I have never had.

After visiting Mercy Urgent Care for a wound, I was referred. Courtney(?) at the front explained all of the forms in such caring detail. Paper work done, before I could sit, my name was called. Three people were waiting to check vitals, check meds, find out what's going on. It was a well oiled machine. If one had an issue, they traded. I felt like royalty. Then Dr German came in with his knowledge, as I don't know how I got the wound. We talked options. I chose the one to get the quickest result which was painful for about 15 seconds. He told me how to take care of the wound. We talked life and he moved on. Now 2 people came in and I was shown how to do what Dr German has explained AND everything was also written. Wound care...not fun, but this place is the place to go to be treated with respect and I believe this 6 week old wound is going to heal. Thanks to the whole team.

The clinic is ideal for those who need continued wound care, as well as stoma education .

Words fail me to express my gratitude to Dr German and his staff. It is amazing how a staff so large can be universally outstanding from clerks to med techs, nurses, nurse practitioner and of course doctor German. Medical Care does not get any better than Mercy hyperbaric and wound center.

Dr German is a great listener. He has a delightful bedside manner and is empathetic and understanding of the individual needs of the elderly. His advice, though likely repetitive and routine advice for him, was new to us. It resolved my loved one's month's-long issue in less than two weeks. You will be very glad to find this doctor's office and this doctor.
