I had a wonderful experience delivering at the birthing center . The nurses were extremely kind, and Dr. Zhu was amazing. Everything went smoothly overall. The hospital was very busy with many deliveries, so there were slight delays at times, but nothing major. The entire team from the epidural specialist to the doctors, nurses, and staff was encouraging, positive, and supportive. The doctor was very thorough, made me feel well cared for. I’m very glad I chose this hospital. It was a pleasant delivery experience, and I hope this review is helpful.

BIRTHING CENTER : This is for the Birthing Center . I just want to say Thankyou so much for all the nurses and the care team I had while in labor and delivery. The nurses were so supportive, fast , patient and informative throughout the whole process. I especially want to thank nurses Courtney V , Jordan J , Marycatherine , Emma M ,and Tracie K for everything they did for me and my baby during our stay they were all amazing nurses and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better combination of nurses . I also want to thank Dr. Fujimori for delivering my baby girl . Everyone was so sweet and patient with me throughout my whole experience. I’m grateful for all that they did . I highly recommend giving birth here .

The cleanliness and care has been great the past two times that mom has been hospitalized. The doctor called me within 10 minutes when I told the nurse that I had a few questions. I definitely feel safe having my mother here. I dont know why they dont have 5 stars.

I was treated here for mental health/substance abuse issues. I was treated in the Mental Health Unit on the 5th floor. It seems not many know about this unit. Four hallways this intersect in the middle, which is where the nurse station is. They let you order anything on their extensive menu, and when I say extensive I mean brownies and ice cream and meatloaf and sorbet and omelettes and build your own pizza, burgers, etc. The staff are prompt and the standard stay is 7-14 days. Some stay 3-5 days. Some stay 14-30, some 30-90 days, which is very, very rare. You're treated like a person. I'm pretty outgoing so maybe it's easier for me, but the point is, Dr. Lorenz has saved my life countless times. If you're struggling, please go to the ED and admit yourself. It's much easier than being petitioned. That comes with much less lax rules. Self admissions can request to leave after 72 hours as it is their right. If you're petitioned, you don't have that right under the Mental Health Code of Michigan. That doesn't mean your stay is longer, it just means you have to stay until the doctor(s) determine your safe to leave. Thank you.

Save yourself the trip. I thought I was doing the right thing by going to Trinity Health’s ER, keeping my care under one network, but it turned into a seven-hour nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone. I chose Trinity Health’s Emergency Room because my primary care doctor, OB-GYN, and my son’s pediatrician are all with Trinity. I wanted my visit to be consistent and connected with my medical records through MyChart. Even though the hospital’s online Google reviews were already low and mentioned long wait times of five to seven hours, I decided to give it a try anyway, trusting the name and the comfort of staying within the same system. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. I arrived at the ER around 10:30 a.m. on a Wednesday and didn’t leave until nearly 5:30 p.m. The wait time was outrageous, but what shocked me most was the setup once I finally got called back. After triage and registration, I was assigned a bed number, but when I walked through those doors, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The same patients I had just seen waiting in the lobby were now lined up in a hallway in beds, wheelchairs, and chairs, as if the hallway itself was their hospital room. There was no rooms, no curtains, no privacy, no discretion, and no comfort. You could see and hear everyone’s personal business, and they could hear yours. I was placed in a narrow hallway where I could see the patient in front of me and behind me, with staff trying to squeeze by and do their jobs. It was chaotic and unsafe. At one point, the Livonia Fire Department brought in a patient on a stretcher, and because of how cramped the space was, they actually hit my hospital bed while maneuvering the gurney. That’s how tight it was. People on stretchers, mobile X-ray machines, vitals carts, and nurses stations were all trying to fit in one narrow hallway. It was unbelievable and completely unacceptable for a major healthcare system like Trinity Health. It felt like unless your condition was life-threatening, you didn’t deserve a proper room. Patients were miserable and uncomfortable. Families had nowhere to sit or stand. It was disorganized, overcrowded, and beyond reason. Now, I want to be fair and mention the positives, because the staff themselves were not the issue. Every person I encountered was kind, professional, and patient, even though it was clear they were exhausted and overworked. I want to especially recognize Allison (RN), John (tech), and Nick (triage) for their compassion and effort. They genuinely cared about the patients and did their best with what little they had to work with. But overall, Trinity Health needs to do much better. The way this hospital operates its emergency room is unacceptable for a corporation of this size. The setup, the lack of privacy, and the overall experience were nothing short of disgraceful. To make matters worse, I know I will likely receive an expensive bill for the “care” I received, which will not reflect the poor quality of my experience. In a time when insurance costs are already sky-high, it’s frustrating and unfair to be charged premium prices for subpar conditions like this. I passed several hospitals on my way there, and I truly regret not stopping at one of them instead. I won’t be returning to this ER, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless it’s your only option.
