Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine of Michigan

I have had Type II Diabetes for 36 years. Recently I had foot surgery for a diabetic foot ulcer that would not heal on its own. My Podiatrist/DR Brian Burkardt recommended that I get Hyperbaric Wound treatment from, Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine of Novi, Michigan. I'm so glad I did!! First off, DR Evangelista is a Doctor of Hyperbaric Medicine. He and his extremely qualified staff got my foot to heal in 45 days. Big thanks to, Dr JJ, Ryan, Sam, Courtney and Christina. Their attention to providing the best, safest treatment for their patients, is of the utmost importance to them, while also making sure that you as the patient are totally comfortable and confident in their care. The facility itself is very clean and up to date in all aspects of care and they are very thorough in following proper procedures! If you need or are thinking of Hyperbaric or any Wound Treatment, set up that initial meeting with DR Evangelista, meet his staff, you'll will know immediately that you are in the right place and couldn't be in better hands for your wound treatment needs. I love this place, Dr JJ, Sam and Courtney are awesome! I've been going there for the last year for my wound care. They've been very patient, helping with treatment and going out of their way to help you out. I had treatment for my leg wounds and behind my butt.

Dr JJ and his team were absolutely phenomenal when it came to my treatment. I had large openings following a breast reduction, I was in severe pain but by the end of one week with them I felt way better than I had in the 5 weeks leading up to that. Although nervous at first, hyperbarics changed my life. I am so thankful for the team working at advanced wound care, their compassion and wonderful care did not go unnoticed.

This facility is run by an amazing and knowledgeable staff that actually cares about their patients. I would recommend this facility to anyone seeking hyperbaric oxygen therapy or wound care. They were also very attentive and particular on the use of the hyperbaric chambers, making sure safety is a #1 priority, with cleanliness and comfort to follow. Not to mention, other places told me that my insurance would not cover the treatment, but without me even asking, Dr. Jose and his team reached out to the insurance company and helped me to get a large portion of the treatments covered.

I am so happy I chose Advanced Wound Care to expedite the healing of my surgical incisions. Having surgery was difficult enough, but experiencing wound dehiscence left me anxious, as I regularly questioned whether my incisions had become infected. Once I began treatment with Dr. Evangelista and his NP, Sam, I didn’t worry any longer. They tailored a plan for my circumstances and monitored my progress weekly. They are kind, gentle, patient people, and they provide professional and excellent care.
