MedStar Health Wound Care at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

I am impressed with the staff at MedStar Georgetown University. They are all professional and kind at the same time. I’d like to acknowledge Ben, the first nurse I met when I checked in. His calm demeanor and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated. Naturally it goes without saying that if you are an amputee, Dr Attinger is the finest, world renown doctor for wound care. He’s so unassuming yet so knowledgeable. Now I’m in a room for a couple of days while the cultures take their time and every one here is also knowledgeable and impressive. I guess if you have to be in a hospital, this is the place to be.

I have been working with Medstar Health Wound Care at Georgetown Hospital since February of 2026. I am very impressed with the staff of the clinic in terms of how they treat you as a person and not a patient who needs care. They take the time to talk to you and explain your care. They make helpful recommendations and provide you with paperwork from your appointment for your records. Also there computer systems are interlinked and they can track progress you have made from previous clinics. Even when they are behind in seeing you they are always apologetic for inconveniencing you.

My appointment (on July 14, 2026 @ 9:30 am) was a pleasant experience, and I left the Wound Care Center feeling more hopeful and positive than I was when I checked in. As always, Dr. Evans and her staff were professional, knowledgeable, positive and attentive. I am thankful that they are in charge of my care.

Dr. Attinger is a outstanding wound doctor, he and his staff cares about their patients, make sure they understand diagnosis and what therapy is needed, takes time to listens to his patients issues and problems and solves them.
