I was seen today in the ER at New Milford Hospital. This is my first experience in this ER and it has been completely positive. Dr. Barrett has been thorough, attentive and comforting as has the team, including Colleen, Stephanie and Cloe. You have all been excellent and I thank you all for taking such good care of me.

I went to this ER twice for the same problem. I went on Sept19 my left hand was frozen into a grotesque claw I could not move any part of it. The problem was diagnosed as celucitus and I was prescribed a 2 week course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds. On sept30 I went back to the ER my hand was not as bad but now the problem was in my left foot so bad I could not walk. Dr Giles was my physician what he did was repeat the same diagnostic tests as were done on Sept 19 nothing more and continue the same course of treatment as before . This was ridiculous because after a 2 week course of treatment the problem was worse which should have indicated a mistake was made. I asked many times for more diagnostic tests and to be held for observation. I was told I did not belong in the ER and pushed out. Two weeks later my oncologist reviewed the situation and did blood tests that revealed I had a bad case of gout this diagnosis was also supported by a rheumatologist . The treatment is totally different. I made a formal complaint and Nuvance said they did nothing wrong. I disagree for 6 weeks I put a huge dose of antibiotics in my system for no reason and the imflamation got into both feet and I couldn't walk for weeks. My opinion Nuvance health is incompetent I thought health care professionals were supposed to have compassion and help the sick. I guess Dr Giles and Nuvance would rather play God. I'm 74yrs old have been fighting prostate cancer for 10yrs have bad Copd and moderate heart disease am a legal resident of Litchfield County. I needed help I didn't get it. Update that double misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment from NMH ER allowed the gout to get into both my feet, both my knees and return to my left hand. I was totally disabled for 5 months. During that time I was on prednisone which ripped my body to pieces. I don't see how an M.D could possibly make that misdiagnosis the dynamics of the two diseases are so different. Thank you NMH ER and Dr Giles for stealing my life.

I’ve been here a few times for a few different reasons. This time was just follow up x-rays. I got here early before radiology opened. They were nice enough to check me in through emergency. However, my doctors office never sent the script. When the regular crew came in, they also checked. They gave me a direct fax number for the doctor. The entire staff was great including Samantha the x-ray tech. I know sometimes New Milford gets a bad rap, but if not for my doctors office today I would’ve had a great experience.

We visited the ER at New Milford Hospital recently when my husband was experiencing severe muscle spasms and flank pain. From the moment we arrived, we felt supported and cared for. Dr. Adrian Pacheco was outstanding—professional, compassionate, and incredibly understanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made both of us feel at ease during a very uncomfortable and stressful situation. The nurses were also amazing—gentle, attentive, and truly caring throughout the entire visit. Even the reception staff made a difference. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were friendly and empathetic, which really matters when you’re not feeling well. Thank you to Dr. Pacheco and the entire ER team at New Milford Hospital. Your professionalism and kindness meant so much to us.
