Some context: I recently brought my wife here for daily hyperbaric therapy for 40 straight days, as recommended by her doctor. Our experience was fantastic from the first day all the way to the last: - Sachia and staff were incredibly patient and kind to my recovering wife. - Zero equipment problems over all 40 days, which we had experienced at other places. - Patient and even decompression instead of rushing it. A genuinely great experience, especially given how many times we went in such a short time.

I have been experiencing devastating and life crushing side effects for over 4 months since doing 10 sessions at Oxy Performance in November. I went for help with long Covid and it caused my symptoms to become 10x worse. My 10th session I felt a painful jolt to my heart and at that moment my entire life changed. Since then I've experienced a 24/7 headache, severe body aches and tremors, insomnia, nausea with occasional vomiting, serious heart pain, my eyes are bloodshot with blurry vision, cardio problems, and I can barely walk and spend most of my day in bed. The side effects are truly horrific and fear they may be permanent. I spoke to Sachia about this and she denied this was possible and offered me a $100 refund (was 10 days into my $1000 thirty day unlimited plan) This treatment has completely ruined my life and the symptoms are not improving, I am in nonstop pain 24/7 and it has made existing nearly unbearable. My cardiologist said that oxygen toxicity can cause serious issues and believes it altered the blood flow to my brain, causing total nervous system dysfunction. I did 10 treatments in 10 days (most were 90 minutes), which I now know is extremely dangerous as that is too much oxygen but I was never warned as they don't understand the risks of their own business. She denied this was possible, but if you search in long covid groups on Reddit/ Facebook you can find 20+ long covid patients who have also had severe side effects to HBOT. There is also literature about these side effects by the National Institute of Health . I should have been warned about the risks and yes it is partially my fault for not realizing how dangerous it is, but I feel like they should understand the risks of oxygen toxicity and should have never allowed me to do 10 sessions in a row. Bottom line is I trusted them to be the professionals and keep me safe and not only did they fail in this, they denied that what happened to me was even possible which displays how naive they are to understanding safety protocols.

I took a chance on mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and I'm forever grateful that I did. I am an obstacle course racer, and from my many years of running and jumping, have developed stage one lumbar arthritis. Many nights I would sleep on top of an ice pack just to get relief. I am aware that this is mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy--not hospital grade--so I would need more than a couple sessions. I paid for a month unlimited and utilized it every day. Within ten days, I was sleeping without an ice pack, and within two weeks, I was running without pain. The reduction in swelling was apparent, as the tightness in my hips and lower back released. One added benefit was that my VO2 max skyrocketed. I was training way harder than normal and recovering way faster. My mile time dropped from a 6:52 to a 5:59 in one month, and I'm 48 years old. I'm no spring chicken. Lol. I continue to maintain by cold-plunging three times a week, but I'm truly grateful for hyperbaric. The owners, Dom and Sachia, are extremely kind and approachable. I know that there are some concerns out there in regards to HBOT, but I don't believe extra oxygen at a low pressurized level has the ability to exacerbate any symptoms, no matter what they might be. I do know that oxygen at this mild level does NOT cause toxicity. There's just no possibility or justification for that scientifically. I have many medical professionals in my social circle, including ear, nose, and throat doctors and infectious disease doctors, who enthusiastically support mild hyperbaric oxygen treatment. The dangers and side effects lie in the hospital grade hard chambers, where the ATA is 1.5 or higher. That is why those high pressure chambers are only run by highly trained medical professionals. They are reserved for the most severe cases--crush injuries, brain trauma, etc. Soft chambers are safe for the public (anyone is allowed to buy one), and all they do is, at the mild pressure which is basically the equivalent of 13 feet below sea level, allow your own oxygen to get into your plasma so that it can travel and heal your body at an accelerated rate. There's no magic to it, and neither is there any danger. It amplifies healing. You're not getting a toxic level of oxygen. You're getting a decent level. And that's what we all need. Do your research, but from someone who's experienced 30 days of mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I had abdominal surgery and this treatment was recommended to me. Because I was not sure what it was, I was reluctant. After weeks of stalled recovery I thought I would take my fear and try. I am so glad I did! The owners explained everything to me, were so patient and checked on me frequently to make sure I was okay. After just 2 sessions I felt healing again! Amazing! I am so grateful to them and I will be back for more. If your body needs support and healing, get this! I recommend this place highly and I will be a regular for sure! Thank you so much Oxy Performance.
